Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called incorrectly. Translation loading for the woocommerce domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the init action or later. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. Marking Criteria - esl-online.ca

Marking Criteria

Marking Criteria

Each writing task is marked by trained examiners using detailed criteria and scored on a band scale from 0–9. Task 1 and Task 2 are marked separately, with Task 2 accounting for two-thirds of the overall writing score, and Task 1 for the remaining third.

Task 1 (Task Achievement)

The examiner checks if the candidate has covered all relevant information in a minimum of 150 words.

Task 2 (Task Response)

The examiner assesses whether the candidate addressed all points in the question and stayed on topic, writing at least 250 words.

Coherence and Cohesion

This is evaluated by examining the organization and flow of ideas, the use of paragraphs, and the effectiveness of linking words and phrases.

Lexical Resource

This is assessed based on the range and appropriateness of vocabulary used, the correctness of word forms, and spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy

In this part of the assessment, your use of a diverse set of grammatical structures is evaluated. It’s important to demonstrate the ability to use both simple and complex sentence structures effectively and accurately. The examiner will consider whether the grammar within your sentences is generally correct.
